Sorry its been so long. I am really busy with finals and i haven't had time to draw anything worth posting. i hope you guys forgive me. I promise to make it up to you this summer, trust me, you will be sick of my art by the time i am finished because boy have i been reading A LOT( you know what that means...fanart)! I still come on DA to answer questions and comments, and to manage my groups though i promise.

I have been getting a lot of requests, and actually this is a great time to request since I have been having art block. But I need more info on the OC requests (hair, tallness, and maybe position) I would also like links to the OCs pics or description. For anyone who has a request place it in the comments on this journal.

its time to put your imaginations to the test. You are to draw your own type of mermaid, and by type i mean style or looks of the mermaid, or merman, something other than Disney's The Little Mermaid style

RULES:

* this contest will not be judged on drawing talent but on creativity.
* coloring is not required unless it is needed to show creativity
* no copying of other peoples work and use the least reference possible in order for the drawing to be more original
* deadline is october 4 2011
* all submissions are to be put in the Contest Folder ( see Group Info for information on contributing)

REWARDS:

1st place - if your drawing is good enough we will use it as the groups profile picture and it will be the main picture of the Your own mermaid folder, you will earn a super lama badge, a request from Camphb2010, and a full color drawing from leasilverlight
